Beta Fish

In addition to the diverse selection of freshwater fish mentioned, Petland also offers an enchanting variety of Betta fish, also known as Siamese fighting fish. Betta fish are known for their vibrant colors, flowing fins, and captivating personalities, making them a popular choice among aquarium enthusiasts.

Betta fish are native to Southeast Asia and are known for their ability to breathe air directly from the surface due to a specialized organ called the labyrinth organ. This unique adaptation allows them to survive in oxygen-deprived environments, such as shallow rice paddies and stagnant waters.

These beautiful fish come in a wide range of colors and tail types, including veiltail, crown tail, half-moon, and double tail, each adding a touch of elegance and beauty to any aquarium. Male Betta fish, in particular, are known for their aggressive behavior and territorial nature, which is why they are often referred to as fighting fish. However, they can be kept in community tanks with appropriate tank mates, provided there is enough space and suitable conditions.
